On March 28, 1925, Kelsey made his way back to the Michigan camp at Kom Aushim to check on the progress being made in his absence. When he arrived, he took an inventory of what had been found there so far. Although the excavation had not been in progress for long, the list of finds was impressive, including over 400 papyri and other written remains. Kelsey's full record of the findings is as follows:
1. Papyri and ostraka, 400 + 40 = 440 (minimum)
2. Glass, all unpatinated [without patina] - 50
3. Basketry & rope work - 30
4. Woodwork, tools, etc. - 100
5. Textiles - all loom work, including tapestries - 30
6. Metal work - 20
7. Lamps, including pottery lantern - 200
8. Terra cottas - 300
9. Beads - 60
10. Glazed pottery - 20
11. Coins - 200
